Welcome to Eltham Parish Church of St John the Baptist

There has been a place of worship where the Church stands for over 900 years. Today, we hope to be a place of welcome for all who enter our doors; and a beacon of light on Eltham High Street.

Our Church family is made up of young and old, local and International, a mix of all the diversity God gifted us. We hope you can find your place in our community.

So, please do join us for services on Sundays and Thursdays at 10am. Or you could drop in to the Church to chat with me on Saturdays, between 10-11am.

We look forward to getting to know you

God Bless

Revd Caroline Risdon

You are very welcome to join us for 10am Sunday services, which follow the pattern below:

Sunday services start at 10am.

  • First Sunday Family Communion service
  • Last Sunday Holy Communion for the whole Church community
  • All other Sundays Holy Communion in the Church with children’s groups in the Hall

Upon arrival, please enter the church through the main door, sanitise you hands and take a seat after providing your details at the desk to your left as you enter.

We would also kindly ask that those attending the service wear a mask if they are able to do so. This is to comply with current COVID-19 guidance

Please also see our dedicated Children’s Church page for more information on this aspect of our community

The parish of St John the Baptist takes the safeguarding and care of children and vulnerable adults very seriously. Further information about this can be found at Safeguarding.
