The licensing of our new Vicar-Designate, the Revd Caroline Risdon, will take place this Wednesday at 6.30 pm. Spaces are limited but the service is accessible via Zoom:

Caroline was born and raised in South Africa. She trained as a clinical social worker in Cape Town, but subsequently worked in Co. Kerry in Ireland supporting adults with learning difficulties. In London, she worked with people suffering mental illness and offered social work advice to the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Since ordination in 2014, Caroline has served at St Alfege Church in Greenwich.
Caroline says: ‘The Covid pandemic and a lengthy interregnum is hard for a church community to live through. I am looking forward to getting to know you and helping us to reconnect as a community. I feel very optimistic about all that lies ahead.’

Following the UN’s International Day of Innocent Children on 4th June, we pray for all those working to protect the rights of youngsters living in conflict zones
Following the UN’s World Environment Day on 5th June, we pray for all thoseworking to green our cities, protect our countryside, and clean up our seas, rivers and air. May God grant grace that we may exercise wise stewardship of this Earth
