Sunday 23rd May 2021

‘Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of the faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created and you shall renew the face of the earth.’

The licensing of our new Vicar-Designate, the Revd Caroline Risdon, will take place on Wednesday 9th June at 6.30 pm. Due to Covid restrictions, places are limited and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Please sign up TODAY if you would like to attend – a sheet is available by the exit door next to the Lady Chapel.

Since the foodbank in Eltham closed down, we have been sending our donations to a foodbank run by St Edward’s Church in Mottingham. We continue to encourage donations, which can be placed in the wicker basket at the back of church. A range of products are welcome, not just food – these are set out in a list in the basket.

We will hold our Annual Parochial Church Meeting immediately after the service on Sunday 30th May. This is an important meeting, which will not only review the past year at St John’s but also elect churchwardens for the coming year and try to fill any vacancies on the Parochial Church Council. We will announce the date of the next PCC meeting in due course.
